This is the pinnacle of Warmachine gaming. It is a rare honor that Privateer Weekend attendees will have. To our knowledge, only 5 Hardcore events have been run in the past-twice at Gen Con, once at the Privateer Press offices as an invitational, once at Bayou Wars, and finally at Templecon. Bring your best 750 point Warmachine list and throw down with the best of the best. Each player is allowed a single 750 point Warmachine list and the army must be fully painted and based to participate. There is only one victory condition, the utter destruction of the opposing warcaster. In other words, all games are assassination.

All games are assassination. If at the end of a match both casters are standing, then the player who has accrued the most VP's from his opponent wins. Attrition is in effect. Matches last 56 minutes until last turn is called. All games are timed and players are limited to 7 minute turns. If time runs out, put down your dice and let your opponent rip into you. Once the timer starts, a player has only the time allotted to complete an entire turn. When the time runs out and the timer beeps the player's turn is immediately over. This means:
Please note, one of the awards is for fastest caster kill. It is the responsibility of the player's to announce to one of the judges when a caster is killed in a match so the time can be recorded. Players are responsible for setting the round clock each time and must have their opponent confirm that the appropriate amount of time is on it.
